The Imperfect Princess

It cuts through her skin, it breaks her heart
It drives her mad, it tears her apart.
Still she will stand with her head held high,
Even though it would be easier if she had to die.

Where is the girl who everyone admired?
Why are her eyes so weak and tired?
She always said about the worldshe never cared
But to get close to anyone she never dared.

Friends came and friends went
Some by themselves and some she sent
At one point they were her life
Then why dint anyone stand by her in strife

Forever a disspointment to the ones who were close
Piercing through like thorns in a rose
She tried her best she really did
Tried to give her parent the best little kid

But even she saw it in their eyes behind the smile
She was behind their expectations by more than a mile
Leaving her Family, friends and peers behind
The thought would always cross her mind

She reached a point where lived by the day
Who cares what others saw and what they had to say
So what if she still wasnt right
Atleast now it was her own thoughts she had to fight

Then one day he came along and changed it all
Caught her just as she was about to fall
He showed her dreams he gave her hope
That against every trouble she could cope

This feeling of being special was new
The times she felt this before were few
He was her price, she was only a mess
Still he claimed she was his princess

Promises, plans and few months later
She dint care if anyone else hated her
She had her life right here in her arms
Even distance could not do them any harm

But how long do dreams ever last
Eventually even happiness becomes the past
This time she wont blame destiny and fate
Its who she was that he started to hate

It hurts her when she takes away his joy
Cuz at the end of the day he was her boy
She promised to always be the best for him
Then why does their future together look so dim

A sorry, a few tears later nothing is better
It is then that realisation hits her
She is always the problem,its always her mistake
She needs to go far away just for his sake

She has failed to many times and hurt quite a lot
But nothing hurts as much as when they fought
No more of feelings, no more pain to bear
But how to stop loving him? How to make him care?
